Hey! This is my first ever post on Blogger & I know my photos, reviews etc will not yet be up to standard but I'm sure I'll improve, any advice welcome! Thanks for reading! :)
Of course, for a number of years now, we have been repetitively blown away by the vast range of products that Soap and Glory have to offer. From their widely known bath-time products, to their more recently discovered make-up range. However, they do come at a price, and for a regular like me, this can sometimes be an issue as I lack in funds. Due to this, I usually ask for as many products as I can for Christmas and then ration them out over the entire course of the year, annoying right?
BUT, I may have found a pretty competitive dupe that goes by the name of 'Along Came Polly', bit cheesy. These can be purchased from local Tesco stores and are certainly very reasonably priced. Judging by the look of the packaging, the marketers have definitely tried to make an obvious comparison between the two brands.
FIRSTLY - Along Came Polly's 'PURE Pores - 15 Minute Detox Mask'
My skin can sometimes get quite oily and I have a lot of deep pores and blackheads around my nose, so I'm constantly trying new things. To be honest, I have little faith in any products who claim to 'reduce the size of pores and unclog blackheads' due to my lengthy struggle with trying almost everything. HOWEVER, after using Pure Pores, I definitely have noticed a difference, my pores seem to be less noticeable and the area is slightly less oily - I have no idea whether that was sort of a placebo effect but I was impressed! Also, despite the minuscule tub, it did actually last me quite a while, even though I was using it multiple times a week! I can't quite remember how much this was & the product seems to have vanished from the Tesco website, but it was definitely affordable!
Along Came Betty's - PORE FECTLY CLEAN
This product is basically a 'hot cloth cleansing kit', it comes in a box with a muslin cloth and claims to "remove dirt and excess oil for cleaner, softer and brighter skin". Personally, I use this along side my regular facial scrub that I will talk about later, I massage it into my nose and problem areas, wait a few minutes for the product to work it's magic, then gently remove the product with the almost boiling hot cloth. After using this, it definitely does make my skin feel a lot cleaner and tighter, and has become an essential part of my skin care routine before bed time. As I haven't been using it that long, I cannot comment on whether my pores have been reduced due to the product, but as the kit is currently on sale for just £2.33, I would call it a bargain!
Along Came Betty's - Pore..fect POLISH
YET ANOTHER 'pore reducing product'! This, being more mundane and essentially just your average 'facial wash', has actually surprised me! Due to it being a scrub, it contains tiny micro beads which are actually not too abrasive and do not tend to anger and worsen blemishes like similar scrubs I have tried (e.g. Soap and Glory's), and at only £2.33, I think it's a steal.

Last but not least...... Along Came Betty's 'Fix Me Quick' Mattifier
I use this product to prime my skin before I applying my foundation, and I have to say it is AMAZING! Definitely my favourite of all ACP products! I massaged small amounts into my T zone and chin, I noticed a huge difference in shine reduction and would recommend this to any skin types! It didn't dry my skin out, or change the appearance of my foundation in any way, shape or form! I couldn't find this product on the website, but I recently bought it in-store and it wasn't very pricey!
Hope you enjoyed guys, we've definitely found a good Soap and Glory rival here!
